Who We Are
Our Story
At Safe-Stitch, we started with a simple idea: to make it clear to consumers that our products are safe and our makers reliable. Sarah Valencia of Made By Mocha began Safe-Stitch as a way to educate consumers and explain her prices. As a mom who began crocheting for her family and children, Sarah doesn't do things unless she can do it better than what she can buy. So she's committed to her products going beyond what mass-manufacturers do. Safe-Stitch makers and artists go beyond compliance, so our art lasts and does no harm while bringing joy. We want it to be worth the effort to learn about manufacturing compliance law so makers can do their best work and consumers can be discerning.

Our team is made up of passionate individuals with a commitment to product safety. We hope to have more makers and artists join the team and use the Safe-Stitch label on their products so consumers know they are buying items of value and made with care.
